Anti-Money Laundering Policy for Pledg3r Limited

At Pledg3r, we are committed to preventing money laundering and terrorist financing activities on our platform. To achieve this goal, we have implemented the following Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policy:
- Know Your Customer (KYC): We will verify the identity of all backers using our platform through a comprehensive KYC process. This includes collecting the following information:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- Government-issued identity document number (e.g. passport, ID card, driver’s license)
- Proof of address (e.g. utility bill, bank statement)We will use third-party services and databases to verify the authenticity of the information provided and to ensure that there are no red flags or signs of money laundering.
- Know Your Business (KYB): We will verify the identity of all businesses using our platform through a comprehensive KYB process. This includes collecting the following information:
- Legal name and registration number
- Contact details
- Key person identity, such as founders, directors and key investors
- Business address and proof of address
- Business activity and source of fundsWe will use third-party services and databases to verify the authenticity of the information provided and to ensure that there are no red flags or signs of money laundering.
- Age Verification: All backers on our platform must be over 18 years old. We will use age verification tools to confirm the age of our users.
- Restricted Countries: Due to different regulatory requirements, the Pledg3r Limited is not able to serve backers from the following countries: United States (including all US citizens), China, and Canada, unless they have received special exemption from us. Excluded are always residents of the following countries: North Korea, Iran, Afghanistan, Barbados, Burkina Faso, Haiti, Jamaica, Yemen, Jordan, Cayman Islands, Cambodia, Mali, Morocco, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Panama, Philippines, Senegal, South Sudan, Syria, Trinidad and Tabago, Uganda and Vanuatu.
- Suspicious Activity Monitoring: We will monitor transactions on our platform for any suspicious activity. We will investigate any transactions that raise concerns and report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.
- Ongoing Monitoring: We will regularly review our this policy and procedures to ensure that they remain effective and up-to-date with current regulations and industry best practices.
- Staff Training: We will provide regular training to our staff on AML policies and procedures to ensure that they understand their responsibilities and can identify suspicious activity.
- Reporting: We will report any suspicious activity or potential money laundering to the appropriate authorities in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
